Agora and AdTaily to sell ad inventory on blogs

Press release

Agora has started cooperation with AdTaily, a company which created an advertising system for publishing ads on blogs and websites that require non-intrusive ad formats.

AdTaily's ads are based on self-service widgets and can be used on blogs and websites where such aggressive ad formats as layer ads (served on a layer in the same browser window) hardly apply. AdTaily's widgets can be successfully used in the websites' long tail where low traffic makes it hard for publishers to qualify for inclusion in an advertising network or sell direct ads. Revenues from serving ads are distributed between AdTaily and the website owner (blogger); under each pricing model the latter receives the greater share in the revenues.

"AdTaily's ads set a new standard on the online advertising market and may revolutionise the approach to advertising on blogs. This format is suitable for all kinds of websites, but above all AdTaily's ad units come as the right solution for those who have so far been excluded as ad publishers, i.e. bloggers and website owners receiving lesser traffic," says Przemyslaw Bartkowiak, Sales Director, Agora Internet Segment. "Our Blox.pl blogging platform features lots of valuable, high quality blogs read by the most influential group of web users in Poland, and with ads delivered by AdTaily marketers will now be able to reach them with a relevant message."

AdTaily is referred to as a 'start-up', which means a newly created, fast-growing online business that stands a good chance of achieving rapid success. Last year, the company qualified as a finalist in the competition for the most promising online start-up organised by Seedcamp.com in London. Ad Taily was selected as one of the top 20 out of a pool of four hundred projects from all over Europe.

Agora was appointed AdTaily's sales partner. Ad testing on the company's web services and blogs owned by publishers interested in signing up the format is scheduled for commencement in March 2009. Agora is also AdTaily's consulting partner.

"Partnership with Agora gives us a chance to create a unique advertising offer for so called social media, i.e. those places on the web where more and more users go and consumer decisions are made. With AdTaily, niche publishers, especially bloggers and forum or networking websites' owners will now have an option to better monetize their online presence, while retaining subtle relations with their users who trust in the objectivity of those media and won't accept aggressive advertising messages," says Jakub Krzych, the co-founder of the project.
