MISSION AND VALUES

Agora's founding was linked to the important mission of providing polish citizines with access to an independent source of information, the pursuit of truth, the need to analyse events in the country and in the world and to present their impact on the life of every citizen, as well as the fight for respect for human rights, in particular for equality and freedom of speech. This is why, from the very beginning of its existence, Agora has continuously contributed to the building of civil society, supporting institutions that uphold the independence of the media and democracy, publicising important social issues and initiating actions for the benefit of the environment. The core values guiding the organisation include transparency, openness and dialogue, building lasting relationships with the environment and promoting diversity in society and the workplace.

Agora Group strategy for 2023-2027

As a publisher of independent media, while at the same time running a variety of business projects, Agora wants to work in the coming years to, among other things, successively reduce its carbon footprint and further support democracy and freedom of expression, as well as to create an attractive workplace that is open to diversity.

Report ESG 2023

"The 2023 ESG Report of the Agora S.A. Group" is a report on the implementation of the principles and ideas of sustainable development in practically each of its activities. It also constitutes a presentation of the plans for how the company will develop these processes, with a particular focus on the role of the media in the implementation of the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

KEY UN SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS PURSUED BY THE AGORA GROUP

OUR FOUNDATIONS

The ‘Gazeta Wyborcza’ Foundation was established by Agora in 2018. Following the example of the New York Times Company and The Guardian Media Group, the publisher of ‘Gazeta Wyborcza’ has created a non -profit organisation to develop valuable media projects and pursue important social goals. The Foundation's goals include contributing to the production of more independent and ambitious journalistic material on major social and political issues, such as investigative reporting, environmental reporting and international journalistic projects.

The Agora Foundation co-organises and finances social actions carried out with other NGOs. Its projects focus on the problems of those most in need. Agora Foundation was established in October 2004. Since 2005 it has had the status of a public benefit organisation (PBO).

The Academy of Integration - Work, Education, Sport Foundation was established by AMS S.A. in 2013 and is a continuation of the AMS for Integration project. The Foundation deals with widely understood problems and issues related to the life, activity and social role of people with disabilities, as well as with the comprehensive education of young people. In 2020, the Management Board of Agora Radio Group established the TOK FM Foundation. Its mission is to promote valuable and reliable journalism addressing socially important topics such as equality, tolerance and the promotion of the economy, law, culture and sport and climate protection.

As of 2022, Radio ZET Foundation has joined the ranks of social organisations operating within the Agora Group. The Foundation helps people in particular need - the sick, those with various disabilities - mainly children in difficult financial situations.
