The INMA Global Media Awards, presented by the International News Media Association INMA, is one of the most prestigious awards for publishers in the world. This year's competition attracted 775 projects from 40 countries. Among the finalists were as many as 3 Agora media projects - Gazeta.pl, "Gazeta Wyborcza" and Wyborcza.pl. Winners of the awards will be announced on Friday, May 26.
Gazeta.pl is nominated in the "Best use of visual journalism and storytelling tools" category for its project "One day in..." created in cooperation with the Outriders reporter collective and the team of the Ukrayina.pl website. The project showed the wartime everyday life of Ukrainian cities through materials created using VR/360 technology.
"Gazeta Wyborcza" received a nomination in the "Best Use of Print" category for its "School Without Bullshit" campaign, in which it encouraged its readers to protest against false, harmful and unreliable content from school textbooks. The "Wyborcza" team, together with experts, prepared, among other things, a new version of the page from the textbook on the in vitro method from the controversial book for the subject History and the Present.
Wyborcza.pl was also among the finalists of the INMA Global Media Awards - in the "Best Subscriber Acquisition Initiative" category. The "Wyborcza" team was recognized for its subscription offer in the form of an employee benefit. This is an offer to subscribe to Wyborcza.pl content, available from July 2022 under the slogan "Unlock the employee's potential."
