    "Gazeta Wyborcza" and Agora's magazines rewarded with GrandFront 2008 awards

    "Gazeta Wyborcza" was presented with the first prize in a category "the best newspaper cover of the year" and ArtFront award in category "nationwide Polish newspapers" during 2008 edition of the contest GrandFront. It's the 16th GrandFront award for "Gazeta".

    The Chamber of Press Publishers, organiser of the contest, awarded "Gazeta" for its cover published on March 7th 2008. The cover, designed by Maciej Kałkus, art director of "Gazeta" and his team with the photograph by Maciej Zienkiewicz, was prepared in memoriam of well-known Polish actor, Gustaw Holoubek.

    Agora's magazines "Poradnik Domowy" (Housekeeping) and "Dziecko" (Child) obtained distinctions in the category of "popular women magazines". "Poradnik Domowy" was rewarded for its cover from February edition designed by Andrzej Przygodzki, while "Dziecko" received a distinction for the cover from January edition by Marta Staniszewska.
