“Gazeta Wyborcza” and Gazeta.pl journalists receive Quill of Responsibility awards

Marta Danielewicz from the Poznań newspaper office of “Gazeta Wyborcza” was awarded the Quill of Responsibility for a Topical Article. A Gazeta.pl journalist, Dominik Szczepański, was awarded a distinction in the Press Article category. The award ceremony was organised by the Responsible Business Forum on Wednesday, 25 May this year.

Marta Danielewicz from “Gazeta Wyborcza” Poznan was awarded the Quill of Responsibility for a Topical Article entitled “The Farmer Wants Water” on Patryk Kokociński, a young farmer from Snowidowo near Grodzisk Wlkp., who is engaged in a struggle for water and plants trees.

A Gazeta.pl journalist, Dominik Szczepański, was awarded a distinction in the Press Article category for “Will the Kampinos National Park shrink for a real estate developer?” published on Next.Gazeta.pl. This text was created as part of the authorial #Eco-investigations series.

Klaus Bachmann received a special award for the text on responsibility in the wake of the war in Ukraine. The journalist was appreciated for the text published in “Gazeta Wyborcza” entitled “There will be 5 million refugees and, unlike Iraqis, they will not leave for Germany”.

The “Quill of Responsibility” is a competition organised by the Responsible Business Forum Association. The project encourages journalists to pay more attention in their publications to the idea of corporate social responsibility and sustainable development. The subject matter of the 12th edition of the Competition was “climate change”.
