Jeden News Dziennie – Gazeta.pl unveils new minimalist site with expert journalism

Jeden News Dziennie – Gazeta.pl unveils new minimalist site with expert journalism

Tuesday, July 4, saw the launch of Jeden News Dziennie (One News a Day) - a minimalist service with expert journalism devoid of ads, flashy headlines and anything that might distract viewers. Each day, it will publish one most important material prepared for the most busy but curious readers. Registered users can use the service free of charge after logging in. This is a brand new proposal by Gazeta.pl's editorial staff.

The Gazeta.pl team loves to experiment and create new and unique projects. One of them is the Jeden News Dziennie service, which is a radical approach to journalism in the online mainstream. It is extremely minimalist, devoid of ads, automatic video, galleries and photos. The site features only in-depth texts on topics important to Poland and the world. It's also an attempt to respond to the increasingly common phenomenon of viewers avoiding news - Jeden News Dziennie aims to rebuild readers' trust in the media as a source of needed and reliably compiled information.

- Jeden News Dziennie was created as an answer to the question of what the inverse of mass online media could look like. It combines inspiration from the best elements of the universe of newsletters such as Today's Worldview "Washington Post" or The 10-Point "Wall Street Journal" and minimalist media such as Puck News, Tortoise Media or "KiKŚ." - says Rafal Madajczak, editor-in-chief of Gazeta.pl. - Today, the most revolutionary thing is to go back to basics - we want to give readers and female readers specialized journalism in its purest form.

The Jeden News Dziennie service is free of charge - to use it, one must log on to the Jedennewsdziennie.pl website.

Jedennewsdziennie.pl.

Materials published on the site will be created by Gazeta.pl journalists Maria Mazurek, Patryk Strzałkowski, Jacek Gądek, Maciej Kucharczyk and Ewa Koszowski, as well as external authors, including. Andrzej Rudke and Michał Żakowski from Radio 357, Agnieszka Lichnerowicz from Radio TOK FM, Anna Widzyk from "Deutsche Welle," Dorota Bawołek, a long-time TV correspondent from Brussels, currently hosting the "Onet Europa" program, and Katarzyna Juszczak-van Rooijen, a long-time foreign correspondent for Polish Radio. The managing editor of the project is Elwira Krzyzanowska.

The subject matter of Jeden News Dziennie will cover the most important issues from Poland and the world presented in an in-depth manner. The service's authors will not only describe the most important events, but will also outline their context, so as not to leave readers with the news alone. At the end of each text there will be a "Used Materials" section with a bibliography and information about the time of work on a given material, which is intended by the creators to help build trust between the medium and the viewer. The articles will also include a "Next Steps" section, which will provide information on what will happen next with the topic discussed.

The launch of the service is accompanied by promotional activities on the Internet - including on other Gazeta.pl websites and in social media, as well as on Eurozet Group radio stations and in Helios cinemas.
