This Friday, April 14, the film "Skolowani," starring Agnieszka Grochowska and Michał Czernecki, will premiere in cinemas across Poland. This positive tale of love that will change the biggest liar is the feature directorial debut of Jan Macierewicz. NEXT FILM is the distributor of the title.
Maks is an incorrigible womanizer and a notorious liar. When Anna, a young and attractive woman, takes him for a handicapped man, Maks goes into a lie, hoping for another easy pick-up. Anna, however, has a different plan - she introduces him to her older sister, Julia, who uses a wheelchair. Unexpectedly, Maks, who is cynical about the world, and Julia, who is full of energy, begin to connect something more, but... a lie as the foundation of the relationship? Does this love have a chance?
In the leading roles viewers will see Agnieszka Grochowska and Michał Czernecki. They will be accompanied on screen by: Marianna Zydek, Gabriela Muskała, Marcin Perchuć, Bartłomiej Kotschedoff, Jerzy Bończak, Maria Pakulnis, Mikołaj Grabowski and Krzysztof Materna.
"Confused" is the feature directorial debut of Jan Macierewicz. The author of the screenplay is Agata K. Koschmieder, and the producer of the film is ATM Grupa.
The Avalon Foundation, which works for the benefit of people with disabilities and the sick, being a non-profit non-governmental organization and having the status of a Public Benefit Organization, has assumed social patronage of the film.
The production is distributed by NEXT FILM, a company owned by the Agora Group, which is involved in film production and distribution. This year, NEXT FILM launched the comedy "In Your Place," an adaptation of the bestseller "Generation Ikea" and the documentary "Phenomenon" about Jerzy Owsiak and the activities of WOŚP, and in 2022 the company distributed, among others, the sequel to the cult hit "The End of the World or Kogel Mogel 4" and the family film "Too Big for Fairy Tales," appreciated by audiences around the world. It produced and introduced into theaters the film "Johnny," awarded at the FPFF in Gdynia and the Polish Film Awards Eagles, which was seen in theaters by nearly a million viewers.
