Who will win the Nike Literary Award this year? The best book 2022 will be chosen from novels, books of poetry, reportages, essays, biographies, and a memoir. Today, on Wednesday, 15 June 2022, “Gazeta Wyborcza” and Wyborcza.pl presented 20 works nominated for the 26th edition of the Nike literary award, organized by “Wyborcza” and the Nike Foundation, and sponsored by the Agora Foundation. We will learn the seven finalists at the beginning of September, and the winner will be announced on the first Sunday of October this year.

The Nike Literary Award is awarded to the best book of the year. All literary genres can take part in the competition. The award cannot be divided or not awarded.
We will learn the seven finalists of the prestigious award at the beginning of September 2022 in “Wyborcza” and Wyborcza.pl.
The jury determines the laureate on the day of awarding, always on the first Sunday of October. The winner receives PLN 100 thousand and the statuette designed by Gustaw Zemła. The Award is organized by “Wyborcza” and the Nike Foundation, and sponsored by the Agora Foundation.
This year, the Nike Literary Award jury includes: Marek Beylin, Przemysław Czapliński (chairman), Inga Iwasiów, Iwona Kurz, Tadeusz Nyczek, Magdalena Piekara, Szymon Rudnicki, Maria Topczewska, and Maria Zmarz-Koczanowicz.
In 2021, the jury awarded the Nike to Zbigniew Rokita for “Kajś”, a reportage on Silesia and the Silesian identity. Previous winners include, among others, Olga Tokarczuk, Joanna Bator, Wiesław Myśliwski, Mariusz Szczygieł and Andrzej Stasiuk.
