‘Responsible Everyday’ – an interactive Responsibility Report Of Agora Group for 2017 available now!

Responsible growth, building lasting relations with all the stakeholders, and appreciation of diversity in society and in the workplace - these are the pillars of responsible approach of Agora Group and main topics of Agora Group Responsibility Report 2017. The report is now available on interactive website (Agora.pl/raportCSR-2017) and discloses non-financial employee, social, environmental and governance-related information.

 

- We recognize our responsibility for our impact on the world around us and wish to contribute to the society – stated Bartosz Hojka, President of Management Board of Agora S.A. in the foreword of the report and declared – 2018 will be the year of announcing a new business strategy of Agora Group, as well as a year of new social responsibility challenges. We are working on an internal code of ethics that will organize all of our self-imposed internal codes and regulations. We are also continue a number of social, educational and charity projects, as well as programs addressed to our employees.

According to our ‘Responsible everyday’ principle The Responsibility Report contains 6 chapters:

-> Our responsibility presents the company’s approach to accountability, dialogue with stakeholders, as well as the role and responsibility of the media comprising the Agora Group,

->  the section dedicated to Workplace and human rights shows employment structure and programs for employees, including diversity in the workplace,

-> the chapter on Ethics and anti-corruption includes following issues: ethics in advertising, journalistic ethics, preventing corruption and fraud, privacy and personal data protection,

-> Responsibility to clients and suppliers indicates actions undertaken by Agora Group in the area of building relationships with suppliers, business partners and customers and creating high standards of customer service,

-> social, educational, cultural and charitable activities, as well as information on minimizing the impact of company’s actions on the environment (e.g. energy consumption) are a part of the chapter Social and environmental impact,

-> while Corporate Governance area is dedicated to the area of transparency and risk management in Agora Group.

 - Thanks to the report, all Agora Group’s stakeholders can learn about our initiatives and environmental and social impact of the organization – said Nina Graboś, corporate communication director of Agora S.A. – As a company listed in the RESPECT Index, we understand the need for a holistic approach to responsible management of the organization, which is why our report presents Agora Group’s performance in the wider context of sustainability and responsible business, including dialogue with stakeholders.

The Responsibility Report, as an expression of transparency of the Agora Group, was prepared in accordance with legal requirements and is based on international Global Reporting Initiative guidelines (GRI G-4), along with the Media Sector Supplement. Moreover the report refers to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) adopted by United Nations. Report contains as many as 97 numeral and descriptive indicators, as well as more than 40 good practices that relate to activities targeted at employers, clients, readers, customers and local communities.

Responsibility Report Agora Group 2017 is available on interactive website (Agora.pl/raportCSR-2017), as well as in the form of a convenient pdf file; there is also a version only for Agora S.A. company (unconsolidated), which fulfills the new reporting obligation specified in Accounting Act of 15 Dec. 2016 Both documents - relating to the Agora Group and Agora S.A. are available in Polish and English in pdf format.

Already last year the Agora Group, despite the lack of legal obligation, prepared a Non-financial Statement for 2016 in accordance with the GRI Guidelines.
