Wojciech Świerczyński will become the publisher - managing director of "Gazeta Wyborcza" since February, 2016. As a new publisher and managing director, he will be responsible for the financial results of "Gazeta Wyborcza" and the implementation of its strategic objectives. His main tasks include more coherence and supervision over the activities of sales teams, and the support, marketing, promotion and editorial departments.

- In the demanding world of modern media where we face new challenges, it is necessary to care about both - the content and the purely business side of operations. What is important, we must address our full attention to both these aspects, so that "Gazeta Wyborcza" quicker feels the positive effects of our transformation actions. I am convinced that thanks to the great experience of project management in a difficult market environment and the knowledge of Agora, Wojciech Świerczyński will be a great manager of this business and together with the editors of "Gazeta Wyborcza" will take care of its development and operational efficiency -comments Robert Musiał, a member of the Management Board of Agora.

Wojciech Świerczyński has worked in Agora since 1990. His career in the company begun with selling advertisements for the first editions of "Gazeta Wyborcza" in Katowice. Another task he was entrusted with was the creation of a marketing team in Katowice, and then being its manager together with managing the sales department. In 1997 he began working in the Print segment of where he was responsible for the construction and commissioning of printing plant in Tychy; in 2003 he became the plant's director. From 2013 Świerczyński supervises the sales department of the Print segment in the Agora Group. Thanks to the actions of his team, the Agora Group improved sales efficiency of printing services for external clients, using the potential of their printing plant. Wojciech Świerczyński is also a member of the Management Board of Agora Poligrafia - the owner of the printing plant. He shall bring the team of "Gazeta Wyborcza" relevant management competence related to conducting business and improving its effectiveness which will be helpful in stabilizing the Press segment's operating result.

Wojciech Fusek, who has combined the functions of publishing director and deputy editor-in-chief, will from now on focus on editorial activities. As one of the deputy chief editors of "Gazeta Wyborcza", Fusek will be responsible for the daily's operations in the area of digital activity and coordinating the work of the editors.
